It's a simple question Norm.
Will the universe expand forever or will
it eventually collapse back on itself?

Now don't go jerking me around,
I can take it. It's a simple question.

What's this?
Who's leading the conversation?
This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

c. Uncertain. Both possibilities exist - not because of our lack of knowledge, but objectively.

(didn't vote on it!)

Oh come on Norm, it's a simple question.
Don't be such a wet blanket with your "objectively."
You won't hurt my feelings if you vote for Collapse.

Sorry, I just recognized that the question really is simple.

The answer is: It will expand forever (I will vote that now).

I know that, because:

Now, we know the moon isn't made of cheese, but what if it was made of spare ribs. Would you eat it then? I know I would. Heck, I'd have seconds.

Is, too!
Oh, and the universe will expand forever, at least from our perspective. Which is all that actually counts.

I always thought that gravity reigned supreme in the universe, but that was before I set up my own deep space radio telescope (Casio model DSRT-1000) in my back yard. After collecting data for years I finally got around to analyzing all that information (I spent a lot of time burning ants with the telescope) and it turns out that the universe is expanding at an accelerating rate. So it looks like gravity ain't all that and a bag of chips.

So I voted Expand forever.

Next I plan on looking for all that missing matter in the universe, but I may need to upgrade to the Casio DSRT-1500.

I'm sorry I will try to restrain myself in the future. BTW, I have eaten ants before too, although I like ant eggs a lot better.

This question is like, "Yes or No, have you stopped beating your wife?"

Everybody knows that the universe expands and collapses on the Truth Frequency. All other vibrations are a harmonic. Now, it just so happens the vibration will go on into Infinity.

Is it a simple question? How come nobody yet formulated a concrete answer?

What I know about physics can be summed up in the following way: nothing.

However, I still have an opinion, and I vote.

I voted for "collapse" because if Rock beats Scissors, and Scissors beats Paper, then it follows that Rock should beat Paper, but it doesn't, so the universe is collapsing.

Duh.
