ABC Ruined Wednesday Nights

Just a few weeks ago I looked forward to Wednesday nights but no longer as ABC's LOST won't be back until February and The Nine, also on ABC, has gone on hiatus.

ABC says The Nine will be back but doesn't say when. In all likelihood The Nine is gone, if I'm lucky then I will at least get to watch the remaining episodes online. Otherwise I guess I'll never find out what happened in the bank during the 52 hour hostage seige or how the nine survivors handle life afterwards. I also suspect one of the nine was an accomplis but now I may never know if my hunch is correct.

I'm not a big TV watcher but Wednesday night was a full night for me - Jericho (CBS) followed by LOST and then The Nine (both ABC) - but now I'm left with just Jericho and it was my least favorite of the three. I'm used to disappointments like this. I was a big fan of Freaks and Geeks and just last season Heist was cancelled before they even got close to robbing the three jewelry stores on Rodeo Drive.

So, I now have several free hours of TV watching to throw behind an under-appreciated TV show or two. Are there any TV gems out there that I'm missing?

Update: I just noticed that Jericho will have its fall finale tonight, so that pretty much wipes out Wednesday TV for me.
