What is the best Christmas movie?
The only thing Ralphie wants for Christmas is an Official Red Ryder Carbine-Action Two-Hundred-Shot Range Model Air Rifle (with a compass in the stock).
Cousin Eddie visits the Griswold family for the holiday.
George Bailey is having a rough Christmas so a couple of angels pay him a visit.
Some old coot says he's Santa Claus and is taken to court.
Will Ferrell plays an ordinary boy raised as an elf.
Arnold Schwarzenegger is on a quest to find a toy for his son.

I voted 'other'. You kind of have to watch all the favrourites with appropriate snacks to get the total Christmas feeling... and yes I do that :-) p.s. You missed the original Grinch and Rudolph.
You're right - I just think of them as movies. Will now compound my embarassment by admitted this weird choice for Christmas movie...
Die Hard.

Die Hard.
I know we're all thinking it, so I'll be the one to say it.
Yippee-kay-yay, mother@!$%#er!
You know, I watched part of this on TBS once and they dubbed it as "YippeeKayAy, my friend." If I had a gun, I would have shot my TV.
As soon as I saw the title of this article, Die Hard popped into my head.
I'm going to have to agree with Glinda here. (You also left off A Charlie Brown Christmas and White Christmas
Though I don't watch them much anymore, I probably would have voted for the old stop motion animated Rudolph and Santa Claus stories -- (and maybe the Charlie Brown) because those are the stories that I remember loving as a kid. It didn't feel like Christmas until the night we got to see those.
So, "other" -- I guess. A Christmas Story deserves to be up there, though. Like Glinda said, they all play a different role.
oooh Brian good reminder about Charlie Brown - I don't watch the movie but the music is so Christmas for me. Got to dig up that CD!
Had to be a cheeseball and vote It's a Wonderful Life.
Though I'm also incredibly partial to The Nightmare Before Christmas.
It combines the power of Halloween and Christmas!
What's up with not including Bad Santa? Certainly the feel good Christmas movie of our time.
I watch that, and Love Actually every year now as my Christmas movies.
I like the Australian movie 'Crackers' as my favourite Christmas movie.
Bad Santa.
Santa Claus Conquers the Martians! Although Christmas Vacation does come close. hehe
Eyes Wide Shut
Yay! Jingle All the Way is on the list! Not my top choice, but it's become a holiday tradition alongside Christmas Story and Christmas Vacation in our house. And I thought our family was weird *awaits comment confirmation*
Scrooged. You know, the one with Bill Murry.
Especially the opening scene. It reminded me of the Weird Al song, "The Night Santa Went Crazy", which is, of course, one of the best Christmas songs of all time.
That is a damn good movie. hehe
Don't forget about Weird Al's "It's Christmas at Ground Zero."
Elf.
My god! I can't believe Home Alone and Home Alone 2 haven't been mentioned! This is possibly the best movie/sequel combo of all time, and both are certainly deserving of a mention when talking about the best Christmas movies.
A Christmas Story, no question.
Sorry guys, Bernard & the Genie hands down.
Though Love Actually is a close 2nd...
If you've never seen it, it is truly a gem and damn funny.
