With the year drawing to a close, Epicurious asked renowned restaurant critics from around the country to name the most exciting restaurant openings of 2006 in their respective cities. Their responses, which follow, will have you reaching for your suitcase and credit card.
Has anyone tried any of these restaurants?
Nope. I must need to get out more.
I haven't been by any of those towns, or even the states. I am sure they are all good. Anyone tried Moondogs here in Fulton, TX?
I am so going to try out that Copperblue in Chicago, not only because it's named after one of my favorite albums but also because of that divine-sounding lobster dish mentioned in the article. If I remember, I'll come back here and tell you how it was. 'Course, I haven't gone to the restaurant's website yet to check out how ridiculously expensive it probably is, but I like to save those kinds of surprises for my credit card.
VikiBabbles,
I haven't been there either, but I'm pretty sure you have to hand over TWO credit cards before they'll even seat ya. ;-)
Well, I emailed a link to the restaurant's website to my Mom. It's only a matter of time before she's handing over two of HER credit cards so they'll seat us!
After she buys me dinner, I'll be sure to report back. ;)
Groovy! Be sure to ask for extra ketchup (it drives 'em NUTS!) :-)
lol, sure will!
