Carmelo Anthony is 22 years old and leads the NBA in scoring. The Denver Nuggets are in second place in the NBA Northwest and were division champions last season. George Karl is an accomplished basketball coach. Allen Iverson is the second-leading scorer in the NBA, as he also was last season, proving that at age 31 he remains a viable, vibrant athlete.

The Nuggets' front office has proved that it will make the moves it deems necessary for ultimate NBA success, even if it means taking on a player with a $19 million annual salary.

Denver's center, Marcus Camby, is averaging a double-double.

So it will be downright entertaining to watch the gymnastics as the Iverson Cultists twist themselves into explanations why he doesn't win a championship now.

Will Iverson win an NBA championship with Denver? I think it's unlikely, the Western Conference is full of tough teams.
