Montae Reagor DT is now an Eagle.
Kevin Curtis WR is also an Eagle now.
As many predicted the Philadelphia Eagles have not made headlines by signing any big-name players. They did sign a few defensive linemen and added a wide receiver to replace Donte' Stallworth who is now a Patriot.
These players re-signed: Correll Buckhalter (RB), Quintin Mikell (DB, special teams), William James (DB), and Juqua Thomas (DE)
These players signed with the Eagles:
Last with the Colts, he has played eight seasons in the NFL. Last season he only played in 5 games due to a car accident which left him with a head injury. More info: Montae Reagor good fit for Eagles
Previously with the Rams, he only started 1 game last season. He was their third wide receiver, can he be the Eagles number one receiver?
More info: Eagles add deep threat by signing Kevin Curtis
. . . Jeff Garcia (QB, Tampa Bay), Donte' Stallworth (WR, New England), Shawn Barber (LB, Houston), Rod Hood (CB, Arizona), Michael Lewis (SS, San Francisco).
Ryan Fowler (LB) visited Philadelphia and signed an offer sheet with the team, then promptly changed his mind and signed with the Titans a day or two later.
Eagles free agents Reno Mahe (RB) and Koy Detmer (QB) still have not signed with a team. Detmer's career is over, Mahe's is also probably done too.
The Eagles first pick is #26 of the first round, many team watchers expect them to select a defensive back.
Obviously, the Eagles big move came via the trade with Buffalo. But it sure seems this team has lost more than it has gained during the offseason. Are the Birds expecting someone in house to step into the role Stallworth had? Or are they thinking Curtis inherits that role?
