As the baseball season is starting I thought that it would be interesting to do a few polls to see who everyone thinks will win the divisions.

What's this?
Who's leading the conversation?
This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

Only one sure thing right now: there is no sure thing right now.

I voted in line with my two prediction articles (AL and NL). As for the playoffs, I laid my thoughts out in the postseason article, but I'll recap 'em here:

ALDS Yankees over the Twins
Angels over Red Sox

NLDS Mets over Cubs
Padres over Phillies

ALCS Angels over Yankees

NLCS Mets over Padres

World Series Angels over Mets

Wow, a lot of Yankee and Red Sox fans here. Not one vote for any of the other MLB East teams...

I am not a fan of eother team but I think one of them will win the division title. The Cubs were the only team I voted for out of loyalty (It's our year).

I'm about as far from a being a fan of either as you can get but I still voted for the Yankees since I honestly think they'll win it. The same can be said of my vote for the Cubs. The difference is that I hate the Yankees. I just pity the Cubs.

Baiting? I'm not baiting :)
