Now the incredible, edible Easter icon in a shell comes with a dizzying array of pedigrees, and price tags to match.
The egg may be cage-free or free roaming, free-range or pasture-fed, kosher or kosher-certified, organic, vegetarian, nutrient-enhanced or pasteurized.
This is excellent (thank me later for avoiding the obvious play on words). I think a lot of the newer names are just form marketing. It's good to know that there are some standards.
Thank you for saving us from an egg pun. Eggs are an excellent food, it's too bad the nutritionistas have scared so many people from eating them on a regular basis.
