In 18 years as owner and general manager, Jerry Jones has hired just about every type of coaching personality imaginable.

Jimmy Johnson was brash. Barry Switzer was happy-go-lucky. Chan Gailey was aloof. Dave Campo was upbeat. And Bill Parcells was confrontational.

We're still trying to figure out where Wade Phillips fits on the personality spectrum, but the reality is it doesn't matter whether the new coach runs a training camp as soft as bathroom tissue or tough enough to shame Vince Lombardi.
