This is the final pre-season game. The Eagles' first team players will not play. This is a game for players on the bubble to show that they deserve to be on the team. Here are a few positions where a spot on the Eagles' roster is up for grabs.
Punter: veteran Dirk Johnson will start but Australian Saverio Rocca will probably play in the second half. Rocca has played better this pre-season but a mistake by either player could cost them the roster spot.
Kick / Punt Returner: Jeremy Bloom has not impressed me and Greg Lewis will get some chances this game.
Defensive Line: there is probably one spot open here. Does Ian Scott even play against the Jets? He has been hurt most of the pre-season.
Linebacker: Will the Eagles have 6 or 7 LBs this season? Who knows? Right now Takeo Spikes, Omar Gaither, Chris Gocong, Stewart Bradley and Matt McCoy seem likely to make the team. Will Tank Daniels, Dedrick Roper or Akeem Jordan play well enough to make the team?
Cornerback: If Nick Graham, Rashad Barksdale or Dustin Fox play well enough then they just may make the team.
Safety: C.J. Gaddis and Marcus Paschal may be playing for the final safety spot.
What ever happens in the game, the bubble players will not have to wait long to hear if they made the team or not. Saturday at 4:00pm ET is the NFL deadline to reduce rosters to 53 players. Teams do not have to wait until the last minute so we may know by Friday afternoon or evening which players make up the Eagles roster.

J-E-T-S Jets, Jets, Jets!
Jeremy Bloom has not impressed me
Even if he did impress in the return game, I feel it would be a mistake to keep him. He's just far to small and frail to make an impact anywhere else, and in the modern NFL versatility is key.
FYI, I went through and predicted every NFL game to predict the records of each team, and I have the Eagles going 12-4 and going against Indy in the Super Bowl.
I still haven't decided who would win that game.
Look at it this way. 6-0 in the division is attainable, 5-1 reasonable. That means you only have to go 6-4 or 7-3 in the non-division games.
