Eagles face serious injury problems

advertisement

The injury announcement portion of Andy Reid's Friday press briefing sounded more like a who's who of banged-up starters that might have to watch the sideline Sunday night against the Giants.

Running back Brian Westbrook (abdominal strain) and safety Brian Dawkins (neck stinger) are questionable. Left tackle William Thomas (knee), cornerback Lito Sheppard (knee) are doubtful.

Tight end L.J. Smith, still recovering from the second surgery on his groin in five months, is out. And cornerback William James, scheduled to start in Sheppard's place, lacerated a finger during practice and is also questionable to play.
