MLS Preview: Toronto FC v New York Red Bulls

Both teams have yet to secure a play-off spot. However if the season ended today then the Red Bulls would be in the post-season while Toronto FC would miss out on the play-offs.

Toronto FC

5-6-15, 21 pts., 7th place (last) in the East.

Toronto FC are coming off a 4-1 loss to DC United last weekend. In the play-off hunt, Toronto FC are 12 points behind the Chicago Fire with a maximum of 12 points still available; one point won by the Fire or lost by TFC ends the playoff chances.

Players to Watch: Jeff Cunningham (shirt #93) chose his shirt number to remind people how many goals he has scored in MLS. Danny Dichio (#9) is one of TFC's senior international players.

Injury Report: OUT: GK Greg Sutton (concussion); MF Ronnie O'Brien (knee); FW Danny Dichio (ankle); GK David Monsalve (shoulder); DF Nana Attakora-Gyan (groin).

Card Trouble, suspended next yellow: Andrew Boyens.

With a win over Toronto FC the Red Bulls will secure a play-off spot.

Players to Watch: Juan Pablo Angel (Shirt #9) has 17 goals and 4 assists this season. Jozy Altidore (#17) is a teen-age phenom with 8 goals from 19 games.

Injury Report: OUT: DF Kevin Goldthwaite (L knee injury); QUESTIONABLE: MF Claudio Reyna (L toe sprain); FW Mike Magee (R knee injury).

The Red Bulls should win this. I'm interested in

near the end of their first season in MLS.
