Major League Soccer Commissioner Don Garber had some choice words for the Pennsylvania legislature during his "state of the league" address in Washington D.C.: Hop to it.
"The timing of approval is not in our hands, it's in the legislative body's hands, and that affects our ability to make decisions," said Garner when asked about Chester's chances this year to be named the 16th city to host a MLS team.
"Philadelphia has it very close, it's at the finish line," he said. "Let's get the legislature to push that funding package out of the state legislature by the Dec. 15 end of that session. If that happens, then Philadelphia has got an inside track. If that doesn't happen, then Philadelphia can go way down on the list."
