The Pro Bowl fan balloting is an annual popularity contest.
Theoretically it counts one-third in the Pro Bowl selection process, the votes of the players and the coaches making up the remaining two-thirds.
But the fan voting is proof of the shocking new depths Eagles quarterback Donovan McNabb has sunk to, for he typically ranked among the top five vote-getters at his position when healthy, and has been to five Pro Bowls in eight seasons.
With 83,157 votes in the recently concluded fan balloting, McNabb barely was on the NFC map for quarterbacks. The list was topped by Brett Favre of the Packers and Tony Romo of the Cowboys, who garnered 1,057,706 and 747,632 more votes respectfully than McNabb.
