
If these last couple games were all about rebuilding Donovan McNabb's confidence with an eye toward 2008, then the end of the season was a success.
Everything Eagles head coach Andy Reid did once the Eagles were eliminated from playoff contention a couple weeks ago seemed to be a carefully scripted plan to make McNabb feel good about himself, confident in his surgically repaired knee and certain about his place on the team going into the offseason.
McNabb finished the season with a 345-yard passing performance over the lowly Bills yesterday that gave the Eagles a 17-9 win at the Linc and season-ending three-game winning streak and left McNabb believing that better days are ahead.
