Arnold Schwarzenegger's smashing third go-round as the futuristic robot, or "cybernetic organism," battles a female terminator (Kristanna Loken), who is sent to assassinate John Connor (Nick Stahl), who's destined to become the leader of a worldwide resistance movement. The film picks up 10 years after the last installment of the sci-fi series. Eric Boen, who plays Dr. Silberman, is the only other actor to appear in all three "Terminator" films. Dawn Budge (Rosie O'Donnell), now a "Hearts 'n' Scalpels" producer, objects when the show is invited to participate in a gay-pride parade. Meanwhile, Christian falls back into old habits; Sean, on the outs with Christian over Julia, hires Gina (Jessalyn Gilsig) as a receptionist to get back at him; and Rachel Ben Natan (Maggie Siff), Matt's disfigured rehabilitation counselor, sees Sean when she experiences pain in her face, but her case proves to be more complicated than that.
Tracy Morgan's recurring skit as the half-wit talk show host always made me laugh.
