Friday

Good Eats, The Case for Butter. 8:00pm, Food Network.
Alton Brown defends butter, despite the health enthusiasts prosecution.

Celine Dion: That's Just the Woman In Me, special 1 hr., 9:00pm, CBS.
The Canadian singer performs in a concert from the Wiltern Theater in Los Angeles, featuring duets with Josh Groban ("The Prayer") and will.i.am ("Eyes on Me"). Other songs include "My Heart Will Go On," "Because You Loved Me" and "Taking Chances."

Las Vegas, Three Weddings and a Funeral. 9:00pm, NBC.
Thieves storm the Montecito and hold staffers hostage in a bid to pilfer a rare stamp. Elsewhere, Delinda dines with Cooper, giving her a prime chance to bare the owner's myriad mysteries; Mike's irate mother discovers her son got married; Casey's brother (Charlie Koznick) sets his sights on seizing control of the Montecito; and a staffer suffers a shocking tragedy. Singer-songwriter James Blunt ("You're Beautiful") performs. Cheryl Ladd guest stars. 2 hrs.

Stargate Atlantis, Midway. 10:00pm, Sci-Fi.
Ronan Dex (Jason Momoa) prepares for his IOA review, that will decide if he can be apart of the Stargate program, with the help of Teal'c's (Christopher Judge) advice; an attack on the Midway station begins when the Wraith discover it's location.

Saturday

The Kill point, marathon. 2pm to 10pm, Spike.
Watch the entire mini-series. Military veterans botch a bank robbery, which results in a hostage situation. Stars Donnie Wahlberg and John Leguizamo.

Miracle, 2004 movie, 3 hrs., 8:00pm, ABC.
Triumphant, fact-based sports drama about the 1980 U.S. Olympic hockey team. Kurt Russell is commanding as head coach Herb Brooks. Look for exciting re-creations of the games, which are enhanced by an athletic cast that can actually play the sport, including Billy Schneider, who takes on the role of his father, Buzz. The title comes from sportscaster Al Michaels' legendary call, "Do you believe in miracles?"

Jericho, Reconstruction. 8:00pm, CBS.
As the second season begins, a new government steps in and restores order, but tensions between Jericho and New Bern continue unabated and Jake will not rest until he kills Constantino. Meanwhile, Hawkins fears his nemesis is still hunting him. (repeat)

Saturday Night Live. 11:30pm, NBC.
The NBA's LeBron James hosts the 33rd-season opener of the Saturday-night sketch staple. Kanye West is the musical guest. (repeat) Note: a new SNL will air next week.

Masterpiece Theatre, Pride and Prejudice. PBS, check local listings for time.
Part 2 of 3. Jane Austen's "Pride and Prejudice" continues, as Charlotte (Lucy Scott) accepts a proposal from Mr. Collins (David Bamber). Later, Elizabeth (Jennifer Ehle) visits the newly married couple, and receives a proposal of her own. Mr. Darcy: Colin Firth. Col. Fitzwilliam: Anthony Calf. Wickham: Adrian Lukis. Lady Catherine de Bourgh: Barbara Leigh-Hunt.

The Simpsons, Love, Springfieldian Style. 8:00pm, Fox.
Homer and Marge celebrate Valentine's Day by going on the Tunnel of Love ride at a carnival, but they end up stranded when Bart pulls a prank involving gelatin. To pass the time, Homer tells the love story of Bonnie and Clyde, Marge tells her version of "Lady and the Tramp," and Bart tells the love story of Sid Vicious and Nancy Spungen.

Big Brother 9. 8:00pm, CBS.
Houseguests are nominated for eviction.

Life After People, special, 2 hrs., 8:00pm, History Channel.
Using computer imagery and information from experts, the state of the Earth if humans no longer filled the planet is examined; as the human-made sites and intellectual items disappear, animals reclaim the land; past deserted cities are explored.

Knight Rider, pilot. 9:00pm, NBC.
Crime-fighting supercar KITT returns in Mustang form in this revved-up retread of the 1982-86 TV series. Here, a jaded ex-army ranger (Justin Bruening) teams up with the souped-up auto in a desperate search for KITT's vanished creator (Bruce Davison). They also gear up to battle criminals out to steal KITT. David Hasselhoff, star of the original show, makes an appearance. Val Kilmer provides the voice of KITT; Deanna Russo and Sydney Tamiia Poitier also star.

Family Guy, Back to the Woods. 9:00pm, Fox.
James Woods (in a voice cameo as himself) steals Peter's identity---and his family---after he finds Peter's wallet, which he had lost at a Barry Manilow concert. Manilow, who also lends his voice, performs a variation on "Mandy."

Cold Case, Spiders. 9:00pm, CBS.
The 1998 murder of a 17-year-old girl is reinvestigated after her drunken father is arrested for beating a 3-year-old girl. The probe reveals the dad's abuse, but it also uncovers information that the victim ran away with a neo-Nazi ex-con shortly before her death.

Ultimate Recipe Showdown, Chicken. 9:00pm, Food Network.
Nine finalists create their best chicken recipes with Whole, Fried and Soups and Stews for the judges as they look for taste, originality and presentation.

Breaking Bad, Cancer Man. 10:00pm, AMC.
Walter announces to the family that he has cancer; the DEA believes there is a new big-time player in the Albuquerque drug business; a depressed Walter takes his anger out on a worthy recipient; Jesse pays a surprise visit to his parents' house.

Dexter, Dexter. 10:00pm, CBS.
A Miami forensics whiz moonlighting as a vigilante dispatching murderers who've escaped justice searches for "a very neat monster" who's chopping up hookers and leaving no prints---and no blood. (repeat)

Iron Chef America, Morimoto vs. Love. 10:00pm, Food Network.
Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto faces a new challenger, culinary artist Tim Love.
