Jets meet with McFadden in preparation for No. 6 pick

advertisement

The Jets, who have the sixth pick overall in next month's NFL draft, flew a contingent of team representatives to Fayetteville, Ark., yesterday to meet with former Razorbacks running back Darren McFadden, according to someone with knowledge of the visit.

That person spoke on the condition of anonymity because he's not authorized to speak for the club.

Who's leading the conversation?
This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

Some think he's the second coming, others aren't so sure. He's very fast, but some have questioned his ability to get extra yards after initial contact. No doubt he'll be a high pick. The other big name college guy is Rashard Mendenhall from Illinois. Mendenhall has bigger/thicker legs than McFadden, and a lower center of gravity. Another potential stud is Jonathan Stewart from Oregon, who's a beast. He just had surgery on his toe, though, so that may allow him to slip to the 2nd round. If it does, someone will get a steal.
