Who's leading the conversation?
This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

Is $200 about what a smartphone goes for? (I have a dumbphone)

That's pretty normal, if maybe a little bit on the low side compared with other similarly-capable phones.

With a contract - yeah that is in the ballpark (maybe on the low side). I'd of been more impressed if it was $200 without contract.

There is no "Google Phone". Google doesn't make phones. They promoted a new platform for phones to use. This phone will use that platform, just as others are likely to do. But there is not and probably will never be a "Google Phone".

That is true, but "Google Phone" is what everyone's been calling it since before Android was even announced.

well regardless of how semantically correct you are it doesn't really matter. People are still going to call all Android based phones a "google phone" so your better off just accepting it rather than railing against the misnomer.

Eh it might stop after there are a few Android based phones. Since this is the first though and only right now - it is the Google phone.

I agree with FDBryant. It may be tempting to call this one a "Google Phone", but as soon as there are multiple it won't make sense. People will realize this isn't a phone made by Google. It's just misleading to call it that.
