Does 'Heroes' need more lesbians?

Not that Heroes is overflowing with lesbians now, but one of the plots that might be coming up this season is Claire getting romantically involved with her new college roommate, played by Madeline Zima.

Eh. Certainly not going to make me start watching Heroes. Seems a little cheap, though I guess the lesbian-for-college thing is cultural landmark enough to excuse it more than just randomly changing sexuality.

Was the character super-straight before?

Yes she is super straight. She was only a highschool student and had a couple of not serious boyfriends but there was no interest in girls at all. She was typical cheerleader type...
