The Gilroy story comes to an abrupt end. Fiona deals with a kidnapper while Sam does his best to help both her and Michael.
Evil Limey Mastermind or Gilroy was here
We get a good dose of Gilroy as this episode starts with him instructing Michael to buy a 50 caliber machine gun from a bunch of white supremacists. It turns out that Gilroy was just using Michael as a distraction and he has to fight his way out as Gilroy steals the gun. From here Gilroy strings Michael along by telling him that he has a big job for him but it seems to involve a bridge in a remote area. It turns out Gilroy is diverting that secret spy plane of the last few episodes (the rendition flight to a black site in Poland) and plans to land it on a remote stretch of road near the bridge. Michael and the machine gun are to hold off the authorities as the plane is landed.
Simon Says Surprise!
In a very quick, action-filled ending, Michael gets into a car with Gilroy and finds out he has been shot. What's more Gilroy says this all was a plot by Simon to get to Michael. Furthermore Gilroy is wearing a bomb vest and tells Michael it would be a good idea to run away from the car which then blows up! Who is this Simon? We have no idea.
Not-so-harmless Weasel
Fiona, with some help from Sam and Michael, works to bring a kidnapper to justice. There were some close-calls with Fiona in constant danger but otherwise this was not a very interesting plot line. Sam did some more role playing again this episode as he played a home inspector overly concerned with crabgrass (this was to buy time for Fiona). Also Michael's mother got a little screen time as Sam needed some of her make-up to make a tracking device to help Fiona. The end to this storyline was also explosive as the kidnapper tried to burn himself alive rather than be captured by the police. Fiona, Sam and Michael saved his life though.
Next Week
Next week's episode is the season finale of the third season of Burn Notice. What will we find out - if anything - about this mysterious Simon?

Best Lines
Once again there were a few good lines this week.
"Sam, you're doing dishes." ~ Michael (Sam needed something to do while worrying about Michael)
"Be quiet while the grown-ups are talking." ~ Fiona to Sam when they first met Gabriel, the kidnapper
"I really need some new friends." ~ Sam after Fiona goes into a dangerous house (Michael earler put himself in danger)
