The new iOS 6 release has removed Google Maps and Apple has replaced it with their new Maps app. However it has drawn criticism for it’s inaccuracy, lack of details, lack of public transportation help, and for some satellite shots are totally obscured by clouds. There’s even a new website created to poke fun at the new Mapps app.

So what are the alternative maps solutions to make maps useful again? Fortunately, the app ecosystem can provide plenty of alternatives, but if you’re missing Google Maps, there are other ways to get it back as well.
